Happy 1st birthday, Althea! #altheaturns1

Here’s a secret – I’m an online shopaholic.

Getting my own debit card was possibly the best blessing but worst decision ever, since I now didn’t need to leave the comforts of my room to buy everything I ever wanted.

At least one package arrives  weekly at my doorstep and one of them is the signature pink box of online make up and beauty products store Althea.kr. It surprised me slightly though when I found out that Althea turns 1 today!

Has it only been one year? It seems like I’ve been getting my products from Althea forever, since I buy my Innisfree green tea facial wash range from them, but I checked back to my tweets and found that they actually launched on my birthday last year. Happy birthday to you and me both, Althea 🙂

I remember in the early days they had these flash deals like 1+1 for Banila’s Clean It Zero (which I use religiously) and would often send me discount codes that I couldn’t resist. At that time, I was traveling to Korea and Japan often and had friends going every other week, but I still found buying my products from Althea at times cheaper than buying it in Korea. I even left my first Facebook review ever on Althea, but I can’t seem to find that post now. I can however, find this tweet.

Anyway, true to their nature, Althea is of course celebrating their 1st birthday with a load of promotions 🙂

#ToyTravel – Canon collaborates with Rilakkuma for Canon EOS M10 Launch

Anyone who follows me on social media knows that I travel quite a bit. If you’ve been following my posts, you’ll notice that among selfies and tourist snaps, one little guy makes a frequent appearance.

Meet Baby Nini, my child and best travel companion. In a little over a year, we’ve been to more than 5 countries, and looking to hit 8 by the end of the year. I like to travel alone and having him with me makes solitude just a little more fun.

I even have a travel Instagram dedicated to his adventures.

A few weeks ago, I went to the launch of the new Canon EOS M10 and to my surprise, Toy Travel apparently is a huge trend these days. What I thought was a unique quirk turned out to be an increasingly common travel craze!
